Black History Month at Skidmore
Wyckoff Center and Institutional Diversity invite the Skidmore community to recognize Black History Month with a series of events honoring Black history, culture, and contributions, including "Black History in Saratoga and the Capital Region" on Monday, Feb. 10; Lovefest 2025 on Friday, Feb. 14; and a "Rising Hope" film screening on Wednesday, Feb. 26. Camp Northwoods registration
Online registration for Camp Northwoods, Skidmore's summer day camp for children, opens for employees at 9 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 6. Skidmore community members receive priority and will be sent an email with specific instructions that morning. Camp Northwoods also has staff openings for mature and responsible individuals ages 16 and up. Contact Christine Merrill with questions.
2025 Summer Pre-College Program
High school juniors and seniors are invited to live on campus, take Skidmore classes, and earn up to eight college credits at Skidmore’s top-rated Pre-College Program. Classes run June 30 to Aug. 2. Apply now.
SEE-Beyond 2025 applications open
SEE-Beyond's $6,000 award may be used to cover a summer stipend/salary, participation fees or tuition, travel expenses, and room and board for students pursuing a variety of summer opportunities (minimum 8 weeks/320 hours), including research, internships, artistic residencies, and more. Info sessions will be held from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 5, via Zoom, and 3:30 to 4:30, Friday, Feb. 21, in the Library’s Media Viewing Room (LI 129). Endowed internships at the Tang
Students are invited to apply by Saturday, March 1, for the Tang’s year-long endowed internships, which begin this summer and continue through the 2025-26 academic year. Details about the five endowed internships and how to apply are available online.
SGA Green Grant deadline extension
The SGA Sustainability Commission Green Grant Fund has reopened applications until Wednesday, Feb. 5. This competitive grant funds student-led initiatives that align with Skidmore’s sustainability goals to enhance campus life and the environment. Submit applications to greengrant@nigzob.com.
